How to manually upgrade the instrument (applicable to instrument firmware older than 5.2.8)

1. Download the update file to your PC

2. Turn on the Instrument and connect to PC via supplied USB cable.

3. Log on to instrument and press Quick menu (upper right button).

4. Select USB/Activate USB: This will cause the instrument to appear as an USB unit on your PC.

5. Double click to open and you should find three folders; Update, logfile and config

6. Copy the update file (i100update-REL-xxxxxxx.tar.gz.gpg) from your PC to the update folder of the instrument.

7. When the file is fully copied  press USB Off on the instrument and disconnect the instrument from the PC.

8. Restart the instrument to initialize installation of the copied update file.
